Web BOM
Web BOM is a web-service based internet enabled application to securely access BOM database that was extracted by BOM Extractor.
You can setup your server in such a way, that only selected users will be given full access to SE BOM database; others will only be able to see a predefined limited subset of the Bill of Materials database.
Web BOM is setup as a .NET web service on your web server, so the clients can securely connect to the server via internet or local network connection. For additional security your Internet Information Server (IIS) could be tuned up to restrict access to the server by IP address, IP mask or a domain name.
In the main form user can search for products by product masks (For example, 'A20*' will find all products starting with 'A20').
If user double-clicks on the product, he can see a detailed hierarchical Bill of Materials of the product together with product and part images.
Instead of a full Bill of Materials he can view only 1 or 2 first levels of sub-assemblies or see an atomic BOM report (just a table with all the parts that belong to selected product).
Once user finds the product his is looking for, he can print detailed reports, export all BOM information to Excel, Word, Rich Text File (RTF) or Adobe Acrobat (PDF) document.
Each user is assigned with login and password and can be assigned different access rights.
